Amanda Jennings, MSW, LCSW
Amanda Jennings, MSW, LCSW has been practicing and providing therapy since 2011. She received her Masters of Social Work
and her Bachelor's in Sociology from Indiana University Northwest. She began her career in 2006 after graduating with her BA, working
for Family and Youth Services Bureau in Valparaiso. Amanda then gained great experience working in community mental
health for over 8 years at both Porter-Starke in Valparaiso and Swanson Center in LaPorte County.
Amanda has experience working
with children, adolescents, and adults with various diagnoses and various life circumstances. She facilitated an intensive outpatient
therapy group for those

struggling with substance use disorders, has worked with individuals referred by the Department of Child Services and other community
referral sources, has worked in school settings, and has experience providing individual and family therapy in an office setting as
well as home-based services. She is currently focused on working with adolescents and adults with substance use disorders, depression
and other mood disorders, trauma, grief, adjustment issues, anxiety disorders, and behavioral issues. Amanda uses various
therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused treatment, and rational
emotive behavioral therapy.
Amanda thoroughly enjoys and is passionate about helping people. She believes strongly
in using a strengths based and client centered approach and building a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients.
